I loved the care and compassion of the staff and the vet the most, but was also impressed by how clean this hospital is - cleaner than any Vet I've seen before. The prices are fair and they followed up about my Lucy after she had healed. They are also patient and flexible about rebooking appointments or booking at short notice. The Doctors and staff are the best! Two years ago, my brand new puppy was diagnosed with possible hip displasia. Total bill, $6,800 - $8,000 for surgery, etc. Instead, I was told it was possible that the condition could be "environmental" instead of genetic. Especially since neither parent had it. Also, she was too heavy for her undeveloped bones, plus I walked her too long and too often. She was put on anti-inflammatories, I carried her when needed and I followed their plan. It was only 4 months and totally worth it. She turned 2 in March. She has regular check-ups. She has absolutely NO signs of hip displacia! THANK YOU Coquitlam Animal Hospital! My last vet wouldn't have given me another option and would have completely drained my bank account.

Amazing experience. I brought my ferret here because he had a chipped tooth and a piece jammed up into his gum line. They gave me all my options up front and let me decide what I wanted to have done which I loved. I have a pug . This place is amazing !!! I can't explain!!! At a different vet they told me I had to drug him in order to cut his nails !!! I didn't think that was right at all . I did it twice ! I feel awful !! No one should be put out in order to get a simple nail trip !!!! This other vet didn't care to take its time at all !!! Makes me very angry !! There's no care for my little baby leroy !!! It makes me sick ! Until I came across a review for this animal hospital! I am so happy I did . It took 7 mins and my pug was happy . He wasn't running out of this vet ! I couldn't believe my eyes !! I highly recommend this place !! Thanks to someone that had a pug and wrote a review !

Dr. Anderson is an excellent, knowledgeable, experienced vet. Extremely informative, patient, and caring, he is willing to discuss any concern you may have for your pet. Hes also very funny! Veterinary hospitals are private hospitals mind you, and vet bills can be expensive if pet owners do not practice preventative medicine for their pets. I think Dr. Andersons fees are reasonable (cheapest check-up fee around for a cat) and he goes above and beyond teaching good pet care.

They are my rabbit's veterinary clinic, and they are very knowledgeable and compassionate about her care. They are open and honest about their billing and what they do, and their prices are reasonable. I found the vet to be very honest about my rabbit's health and about test results and treatments to be done. I would recommend this veterinary clinic to others, especially those with household pets other than dogs and cats, as it can be hard to find clinics knowledgeable about these pets.

We have been visiting Dr. B for a few years now and would not go anywhere else with our Frenchie. After issues were misdiagnosed by 3 other vets, and claiming he needed emergency surgery, Dr. B was able to have our little guy treated with antibiotics and a special diet instead.

People who know me know that I am not big on "conventional" medicine (prefer homeopathics, no vaccinations, raw feeding), so if I can recommend Yaletown Pet Hospital - they must be amazing to impress me. I do not "trust" easily, but after our appointment with Dr. Vandermeer, I felt confident in her abilities and her genuine love and compassion for animals. The vet tech who assisted, Amber Lloyd, is simply the kindest, sweetest person you will ever meet and she watched over Minnie like a hawk! I booked the appointment for dental surgery for the next day. When I picked up Minnie, they took time to review how everything went and exactly what was done and scheduled a followup appointment. Minnie's recovery was very fast and by that evening, she was eating and back to her crazy, loveable self. I was very, very pleased to say the least. So, if you are looking for a really great vet clinic, I highly recommend Yaletown Pet Hospital. When you book your appointment, tell them Minnie sent you!

I was looking for a vet in Vancouver that had experience with Sphynx cats, and found 1st Ave. was quite knowledgeable regarding Sphynx; Sphynx have a few different needs from other cats.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Very down to earth. The equipment is great (love the X Ray machine). It's clear they are all pet lovers.
Dr. Dhunna is a very nice vet who takes his time and LISTENS. He has excellent knowledge and skills.
I recommend them highly!
