Dream Grad Hair!

I have wanted to dye my hair for a while now, but was always afraid to try getting it coloured because of a life scarring experience at a salon in my old town. I have been seeing Justin at St. Vital Unisex, who has been cutting and styling my hair for a few years now since I moved, and he has always done a fabulous job. My friend was getting married and I wanted to do something new with my hair so I decided to take a chance, and let Justin colour it. The result was amazing! The colour is even better than I ever imagined it could be and it is even shinier and more full of life! I would reccommend him to anyone that wants to get their hair done, that is skeptical about trying new things. I have never ever been more happy with my hair!!

AMAZING hair extensions!!!!

This was my first time getting my extensions weaved in, and not knowing where to go I was recommended to St. Vital Unisex to see Hanna. I was Surprised to get in for an appointment on the same day which was super convenient for me being a full time student. She took her time and made sure she explained everything to me as the appointment went on. I've never been so happy with my hair! I've gotten so many compliments and I will totally go back! If anyone is looking for extensions please go see Hanna @ St. Vital Unisex You won't be left disappointed! :)

Bad Service - Bad Haircut

I used to go here ofter with my 2 sons. However, during our last visit, we had a terrible experience. My son, who's hair had about 6 months of thick growth, wanted a mohawk. The young and obviously inexperienced hairstylist thought it would be a good idea to bypass cutting off some of the growth first and go directly to a shave. This resulted in my son's hair getting caught in the clippers several times, at which point he started crying. (He's only 5). She then nicked his ear and it was bleeding. My husband was trying to get him to relax and she was getting angry and telling my son that none of this would be happening if he would just hold still. Once she finally got him shaved, she said "Ok, we're done." My husband asked if she could spike the mohawk (is that too much to ask?) and her response was "oh, you want it styled?" ummm, yeah. This made me so angry that I actually complained and showed the girls at the front my son's bleeding ear but they did nothing. Not even an apology. I will never go back because of this, and my son never wants to go for a haircut again. He is completely traumatised. I understand there are a lot of people who work here, all with different skill levels, so hopefully this stylist is no longer there and others can have a better experience.

They ruined my hair!

I went to get my hair curled and they forgot about my appointment. When I was finally helped, the stylist successfully curled my hair to my liking. HOWEVER, when I washed and dried my hair a couple of days later, it didn't go back to normal. When I met with my regular stylist (of a different salon) she confirmed they had overheated and FRIED my hair. When I spoke with the manager and then the owner about this, they both refused to help me, denying they had done anything wrong. They didn't believe a flat iron was capable of damaging hair. This business doesn't take responsibility for its actions and offers poor customer service. I would expect a hair salon to know how to treat hair - and people.
